Hi all, my name is Debra Young and I am a Certified Birth and Postpatum Doula, Lactation Support located in South Lyon, MI. My career has been working with family and children. Coming from a background in Social Work and Clinical Therapy, I believe birth can be calm, peaceful and joyus, if we set the right atmosphere with positive and constructive plan. Nurturing Doula Care, LLC tries to create comfortable and non-judgmental environment for all parents seeking informational and emotional support. In my free time, I enjoy being creative, decorating, making centerpieces, cooking and enjoying family, my husband, children, grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

I am a social worker and therapist focusing on women’s & maternal mental health. I serving all of Ohio virtually and in person the Cleveland, Ohio area including Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and parts of Ashtabula, Portage & Summit Counties. I also provide emotional, & informational support to mothers, their partners and their families during pregnancy and postpartum. I help prepare families for all types of births, natural or medicated, hospital or home birth. Your birth, your choice. I believe access to mental health, perinatal education, support and informed health care is a right, not a privilege. I am an advocate for mental health, education, women, babies, all families, and informed birthing. I have spent my entire career working with mothers and families as a health and sexuality educator, teen parent educator and mentor, birth doula, childbirth educator and now a therapist focusing on perinatal mental health.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is also a naturopathic doctor. I work holistically with the individual’s body, mind, and spirit. My experience and work can start anywhere from fertility, all the way through pregnancy and beyond. My philosophy is to empower mom’s for healthier coping. Dealing with fertility issues pregnancy and postpartum.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 6+ years of experience in mental health treating a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, women's health and trauma. I am certified in perinatal mental health and have a strong passion in helping women and men address a variety of issues related to infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and challenges with parenthood. In addition I am an EMDR trained clinician and work to use this modality to help clients heal from traumatic events.
