꩜ Mother Manitou Doula Services: Birth support that respects science, nature, and mother's intuition ꩜ Hi, I'm Steph, a birth doula and mother of two based in Manitou Springs, CO. I am currently working with a couple of clients while finishing up birth doula certification with Childbirth International (estimated completion December 2026). I do not plan to take on any additional clients until my certification is complete, so the pricing shown here is based on the experience I am currently gaining and my official CBI certification (which is pending). My services are still low-cost compared to many area doulas. I am happy to offer discounted rates while I continue to establish myself! Keep an eye on this page, as I will reopen and update my books as soon as my certification is official :) A little more about me... I studied evolutionary biology as a young adult and was planning a career shift into healthcare at the time that I became pregnant with my first child. Giving birth changed my path in life – and not just because it made me a mother. I realized how much expectant parents stand to gain from continuous, informed support during childbirth (research supports this). I knew then that my background in evolutionary biology and health sciences had come together just so that I could support pregnant, laboring, and postpartum parents. Today, I am proud to serve growing families in Manitou/Colorado Springs (and surrounding areas) as a birth doula.

Steph was my birth doula for my first birth! My husband and I were extremely happy and grateful for her support with everything. The prenatal meetings allowed us to prepare a detailed birth plan, practice pain tolerance techniques, and informed us on what to expect during the birthing process. The day my water broke, Steph was responsive and quick to meet us at the hospital. She provided so much emotional support during the birth, performed amazing hip squeezes, and assisted during the pushing! She worked extremely well with the hospital staff and made my experience so special. Following the birth, she met with us to debrief and provided us with details she wrote down during the birth, which I will get to share with my son one day when he's older! Thank you so much Steph!

**Bringing Peace, Serenity, & Calm from Preconception Through Pregnancy, Birth & Recovery** Hi, I’m Crystal, a holistic doula, perinatal massage therapist, educator, and guide supporting individuals and families through fertility, pregnancy, birth, and recovery. With over a decade of experience, I offer whole-person care that helps you feel calm, informed, deeply cared for, and confident in the choices you make along the way. I believe these experiences are about more than reaching the next milestone. Whether you're preparing for pregnancy, navigating fertility or infertility, growing your family, preparing for birth, or recovering from pregnancy, your body, mind, and emotional well-being deserve thoughtful support through the transition. My approach brings together bodywork, education, doula care, and personalized guidance to meet you where you are. Some clients come to me for physical relief or support preparing their bodies for what's ahead. Others need help sorting through information, understanding their options, preparing for birth or parenthood, or simply having a calm, knowledgeable person beside them while plans change. There isn't one "right" way to move through fertility, pregnancy, birth, or recovery. My role isn't to fit you into a philosophy or tell you what you should choose. It's to help you understand your options, honor your values, care for your body, and create more peace in whatever season you're navigating. *Because peace of mind comes from understanding your options, not being told what to do.*

Crystal was our doula for both of our children. I could not have made it through two unmedicated labors without her. She was an advocate, a guiding voice, a gentle hand, and knew exactly when to interject humor and empathy when they were needed most.

Hiring Kristen as our doula was the best thing I did for my pregnancy and birth. She made herself available throughout the final few months of my pregnancy via countless texts and phone calls prepared to answer all the wild questions I had about any symptoms or feelings. When I finally went into labor, none of us knew I’d be in it for a whopping 60 hours before my son was in my arms. I could go on and on about all the things she did to help get my son in an optimal position (there were many) but at the end of the day, she was just there for me. There for me when I thought I’d be having an unmedicated birth center birth. There for me when we had to have a c-section instead. And there for me after while I processed it all. She is amazing and I’d hire her again and again and again.

I purchased a birth doula package from Kristin. We had the free consultation (video call) and two prenatal visits and one post partum visit in my home. My husband (which was also my support person) attended the visits, too. It was important to her to include my husband in the conversations because she wanted the three of us to be a team, which I think is great! Kristin provided us detailed information about the labor process, gave us handouts to refer to and she also showed me stretches/workouts that I can do to prepare for labor. She answered all of our questions and provided resources. She went through a detailed questionnaire with me which helps to create a birth plan and also prepares you to think about the ‚what if situations‘. My water broke at home and my labor progressed very quickly. Kristin arrived very fast at my home. She helped my husband pack up the car (incl. our toddler) and she was with me in the car and helped me stay calm and focused on laboring during the 20-30min drive. I was so thankful to have her with me. I would have panicked but she convinced me that we are making it to the hospital - and we did. While I was birthing, there were lots of questions and voices from different nurses and doctors. But Kristin was next to me and she would repeat what they said and I only focused on her voice. Kristin took photos once the baby was born and I am so thankful for them. She stayed with us for a bit and then checked with us when it was ok for her to leave. Throughout the pregnancy and post partum Kristin checked in with me or I could ask her a question and she would give me resources. My husband and I are thankful that we found Kristin and we would totally work with her again! I highly recommend her!

Having Carson as my doula had a massively positive effect on my pregnancy and delivery experiences. She provided me with educational resources and was always available to answer my questions and to calm my fears. I started my pregnancy not having the confidence to give birth unmedicated, but she continually supported me and helped me realize that I could do it. She was instrumental in helping me have a positive labor and delivery experience. I felt more in control with her there, since I knew she would make sure my wishes were being followed even when I couldn’t speak for myself. She also checked in with me after I gave birth to see if I had any questions or needed any help navigating life as a new mom. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is pregnant. Carson is a truly gifted doula.

From day one when I interviewed Sareya, I knew that she was going to be a perfect fit for our family. She started caring for my son when he was three months old. We only have good things to say about Sareya. She is timely, professional, and most of all my son lights up when he sees her walk through the door. Sareya is a caregiver that provides compassionate care. She also will take the time to listen and adjust care depending on the day to day. You would be incredibly lucky to have Sareya working alongside you and your family. We are going to miss having Sareya with us each week, but we know that she’s going to do great things working as a doula and postpartum caregiver.

Making the investment to have supported Postpartum care, especially from an Ayurvedic perspective was not just exactly what I had wished for, but I cannot FATHOM a greater gift for the health of our newborn child. I felt like a peaceful, supported, and loved Momma through the whole process which truly allowed me to be the most present with our newborn. Emily is an actual angel on earth. I only wish that every single birthing person had this type of postpartum support. Our little one is now 5 months old and I believe WHOLE-HEARTEDLY that his gentle, calm, and happy disposition is a result of the care and safety that I felt postpartum which allowed me to be fully present with him. Emily worked diligently and silently doing all of the big and little things that afforded us as a new family the maximum amount of time together to just marinate in our little love bubble. I didn't have to think (EVER) about what I was going to eat, or if I had hydrated enough, about eating the right things etc. Not only was my belly nourished, but she helped with postpartum massage, belly wrapping, provided a listening ear, and left me with so many helpful herbs, tinctures, and magical Ayurvedic potions. I am forever grateful for my time spent with Emily who I am sure will now be a lifelong friend. Thank you Emily! Infinitely! Your gift is something undeniable. We are FOREVER grateful. I am deeply honored to be part of the doula community, walking alongside mothers during their unique birth experiences. I look forward to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, knowing that each journey will be as distinct as the families themselves. What remains constant in every story is the incredible beauty of the unknown, how each baby will arrive and the joy this new little person will bring into their lives. As a doula, I am truly grateful to each family that invites me into their journey, and I am committed to offering support that leaves you feeling confident in your choices and empowered as you step into parenthood. In my role as your doula, I work with you during pregnancy to understand what's most important to you in this season of life. I provide nonjudgmental support and evidence based information to guide you in making decisions about your delivery and parenting plans. Whether offering physical and emotional support, or advocacy, I am here to be by your side. I provide continuous labor support from the time you feel you need it until your baby is in your arms and you're ready to settle in together. I cherish working with families as they navigate the transformative moments of birth and the early postpartum weeks, and I am always honored to be part of this special season in their lives. When I'm not supporting families, I love adventuring with my husband and three children, tending to our garden, spending time with our farm animals, learning all things homeopathy, and, of course, enjoying a good cup of coffee!

We LOVED working with Jenna as our doula!! She was so so kind, very informative (which I wanted), and a peaceful presence to look to during a very intense labor and delivery process. While my labor didn’t go how I hoped Jenna never stopped supporting me, reminding me of my options, and loving me. She was so loving and supportive to my husband throughout the whole process as well, which meant the world. I ended up needing a c-section and Jenna stayed the 3 hours at the hospital so she could see me and baby after that (keep in mind she’d been there almost 24 hours already). That speaks to the intentionality and care she had for all three of us! Jenna was exactly who I needed by my side as I labored and then ultimately had to make hard decisions. She was ever present and uplifted me when I was discouraged! She even went out of her way to love on me and support me postpartum which will always stick with me. I could not recommend Jenna enough!! If you’re looking for a gentle, kind, sweet, educated, and selfless doula, Jenna is your girl!! We’re so thankful we got to work with her!!

Everything you want to happen from a Doula during your pregnancy journey and birth, is what Ellie was able to mold herself into. Warm, detail oriented, easy to work with, and had great chemistry not only with me, but with my husband and 2 1/2-year-old as well. Her communication was on point, checking in after each doctors visit, And answering my endless, questions with ease and kindness. I had an amazing birth experience, I was very lucky, and I cannot imagine anyone else being there to welcome our second child. Ellie, our family is grateful for you, and you will always be part of it ❤️
