I did not know what a doula was exactly at that time. When I got pregnant with my son, I found myself being a doula for friends and mutual friends of mine virtually(due to Covid). It was not until my doula training that I learned Medicaid covers doulas. I then took the steps to become VA state certified and accept VA Medicaid. 🎯My goal is to provide quality, compassionate, empathetic, evidence based support to women who are more likely to get taken advantage of and neglected. Hi, I’m Morgan, a birth doula with a deep passion for supporting women through the sacred and powerful journey of pregnancy and birth. Outside of birth work, you can often find me hiking, camping, traveling, walking my two corgis, reading, spending time with my husband and son, or serving my church and local community. My heart for women’s health began during my very first OB/GYN appointment as a teenager, when I had to navigate a complicated diagnosis and a series of confusing and often scary interactions with specialists. Years later, after facing complications during the birth of my son, my passion for informed care and patient advocacy only grew stronger. That experience not only taught me the importance of understanding my health and my options, but it also deepened my trust in the Lord. Through it all, my faith grew as I leaned into His strength during a season full of unknowns. Since then, I’ve become deeply committed to helping women feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout their reproductive journeys. My journey led me to work on a research team developing an intrauterine balloon stent to help treat Asherman’s Syndrome—a role that involved shadowing OB/GYNs and midwives and sparked a deeper appreciation for the science behind pregnancy and birth. I truly believe that birth is not only fascinating from a medical standpoint, but also incredibly beautiful and sacred. Today, I feel called to walk alongside women in their most vulnerable and transformative moments—offering education, advocacy, and unwavering support as they step into motherhood.

I’m a wife of 15 years, homeschooling mother of five, and bonus mom to a 21-year-old. I began my wellness journey by earning a certificate in Massage Therapy from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2018, went on to complete my Doula Certification at Germanna Community College in 2024, and graduated with honors in Herbal Studies from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2025. I’m currently in Phase I of my PEP process on the road to becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I decided I wanted to Start my birthworker journey, when my unmedicated natural birth turned into a emergency C-section. Even though, I had labored at a birth center with 2 midwives. The decides to transfer me after several days of prodromal labor. My experience at the hospital was very traumatic, and left me unaware and sad. I didn’t have anyone to talk to about my experience. But my doula encouraged me to talk about it. I realized I wanted to be for other pregnant women and make a difference in how we care for pregnant women during and after their pregnancy.
