I am new to the idea of having a doula. I would like to do more preparation work to hopefully have a smoother delivery. My first experience of childbirth, ended in a natural delivery that was forceps assisted, and I had 3+ hours of pushing before we decided between forceps or C section. I had to be induced after 11 days being overdue. I would hope that with this next pregnancy I can go naturally and have way less medications than I had the first time. I want to trust that my body knows what to do, but I need to help train it to achieve my goal. I understand despite some things are out of my control, I can help myself to have a better delivery and post partum outcome. 1. Monmouth Medical Center 2. I'm a first-time mom looking for a doula to support my partner and me during my upcoming birth. I'm hoping you might be a good fit and would like to share some initial details about my situation. 1. Planned Birth Location: I plan to give birth in a hospital or a birthing center. 2. Birth Preferences / Plan: As a first-time mom, I don't have a detailed plan yet, but my primary goals are: · A vaginal birth with minimal medical intervention. · To be well-informed and supported in making decisions throughout the process. · Support for both me and my partner during labor and delivery. I would love to work with a doula who can help me explore my options and develop a flexible birth plan based on these goals. 3. Important Consideration - Partner Support: My husband is fully blind. An important part of your role would be to help him engage and participate in the birth in ways that are comfortable and meaningful for him. This might include descriptive guidance, helping him find physical ways to support me, and ensuring he is included in communication with staff. 4. Budget & Payment: I am still determining my total budget and would greatly prefer a doula who offers monthly payment plans to make your services more accessible. Please let me know about your fee structure and if payment plans are an option.
