Neena was a lifesaver for me and my baby! I was struggling with latching and not making enough milk for my baby. Neena patiently worked with me and my baby until I was confident with latching and helped me boost my milk supply. She also has an online library of videos which she gave me access to so I could learn more about breastfeeding and pumping in my free time. I really liked the videos on pumping and would watch them while feeding at night. Even though Neena gave me some sleep training tips during our time together, I am looking forward to working with her when I am ready to tackle sleep training. I couldn’t have asked for better support—she’s truly amazing!

I am a very picky person and am stubborn when it comes to what I want. And I knew from the moment I fell pregnant that I not only wanted a doula, but needed one. When I worked with Megan at the hospital, she was one of the best nurses on the unit. She is so smart and the first to notice when something does not look quite right and the first to act upon it. She has great instincts and she cares so much about all her patients. She always takes her time to talk with patients and build rapport with them. Holly was an amazing doula and general prenatal/postnatal resource. I moved across the country to NSB 20 weeks pregnant, so Holly was my main source of support in the area. She was so kind and helped me through some early labor scares and difficulties with grace and patience. She knew the hospital system and seemed to have everything I needed during the birth process. It was my second birth and my first experience in another state was extremely stressful so this birth was very redeeming for me. My husband and I decided to hire a doula a little bit reluctantly, not really knowing what we needed or how beneficial it would be. When I met Vonda, I immediately got this sense that she was caring and compassionate but yet also very competent and confident in her work as a Doula. This gave me so much comfort, and regardless of whether our goal was to deliver at home, a birth center, or hospital, she was willing to support us and our choices and not try to impose opinions on us unless we asked for them (which was huge since opinions can run very strong and extreme on opposite spectrums in the birth world). What I loved most about the idea of hiring her, beyond being able to trust her and know she was for us, was that she would be the consistency in my care from prenatal to delivery to postpartum. This birth was going to be with my second child but I was hoping to have a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) birth, so everything about labor and birth would be a new experience for me. She met with us twice during my 3rd trimester. Those meetings were incredibly informative and brought us so much peace leading up to what was foreign territory to us. She talked with us about our birth plan and let us know what our options were, taught my husband and I physical comfort techniques that could be helpful during labor, and also educated us on the birth process and what would happen to my body and with the baby during the process. Having the ability to contact her anytime after we hired her to get her input and feedback was so helpful. My husband wanted to be as involved and helpful to me as he could but he also didn't know what to expect and I didn't know what I would need, He really appreciated everything Vonda taught us beforehand, but then also having her with us during the birth to help him help me and to be our voice at the hospital since she knew our wishes and could speak for us while my mind was focused on having a baby and my husband was focused on me. Aspects of everything she prepared us for came into play when labor started, and I can't imagine going through labor and birth without having been as prepared as I felt, even when I still didn't know what to expect. Hiring Vonda as our Doula was worth every penny! I would highly recommend her to any mama AND her support person. She was there for me AND my husband, and if we did it again, we'd definitely have Vonda with us!

Miatta was fantastic and very caring oriented to what I needed after I had my daughter Sophia. I am a new single mom who had no one to support or be there for me. I was honored to have Mia by my side during the birth of my daughter. She provided me with meals through the day and evening, even made some to freeze for when I would be doing things on my own. She helped with night feedings, diaper changes, assisted with helping me heal from after birth by providing baths and showers. She helped with getting us to our appointments and taking part in those. She was very encouraging and always had a positive attitude towards me when I would be feeling at my lowest and discouraged when it came trying to get my little one to latch on for nursing. I was in need of a lactation consultant as soon as possible, and Giovanna was able to come out to my house the very next day. Even though I had taken a lactation course prior to my newborn arriving, I was experiencing significant pain and nipple damage. I knew I needed to address the issue quickly before it got worse, and Giovanna helped me immensely. She provided a very detailed consultation, used red light therapy to help heal my nipples, and corrected my baby’s latch.
