Working with Wendy was such a gift, especially in the early post partum days. She was 100% reliable, easy to communicate with, and so warm and nurturing to our baby (and to us!). She has a wealth of knowledge about babies, sleep, and feeding. And she will happily share that with you and troubleshoot. But she isn’t overbearing with opinions or recommendations if that’s not what you’re looking for. She made us feel so comfortable leaving our baby in her care so that we could sleep soundly and gave us detailed updates about the night the next morning. And when our baby went through some health issues she was extra attuned to those details and the plan. We would work with her again and again!

Lyssa Zawalski

Lyssa Zawalski

3 years of experience

My name is Lyssa Zawalski, and I am a postpartum doula undergoing certification with DONA. My path towards becoming a postpartum doula was a winding one, with stops along the way as a teacher, social worker, and product manager. While I have found a depth to each of these titles, becoming a postpartum doula has felt like so much more. Quickly after giving birth to my daughter, I realized that I was underprepared and undereducated on what came next. Postpartum was filled with navigating solo parenting, PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), and lack of a “village.” Once enough time had passed and I could more objectively look back at my postpartum period, the most glaring observation was that I had desperately needed help. I needed support in understanding how to feed my baby, what infant sleep looked like, how to find ways to take care of myself (which felt impossible at times). Having a postpartum doula would have changed my postpartum experience as well as the early years of parenthood. I cannot imagine a more tender time to support a family. I truly believe the care and support that we receive in our postpartum period determines so much of how we start our parenting journeys. Thank you for being here, and thank you for trusting me with the most precious pieces of your heart.

Lyssa has been an ongoing guide to motherhood, since she had her daughter. Her unfiltered honesty in motherhood was very real, deep and a refreshing view compared to posed family photos. When I had my second baby, I thought it was going to be different, since I knew what to do this time around. In a sense, it was. However, when the lack of sleep crept in, I called upon Lyssa. She knew the anxiety, the deep seated feelings I felt, and had already lived the intrusive thoughts I had. She was present for the hardest parts, and I can NOT thank her enough for seeing me and understanding motherhood, by walking with me on this journey.

Kaytlyn Devers

11 years of experience

My name is Kaytlyn and I am 33 years old. I am a mother of three girls, 10, 7 and 2. I have been a full time nanny for 10 years for ages 0-8 years old, most often with multiple children in the household. I am transitioning my nanny work into expanding my expertise as a certified newborn care specialist and doula-in-training. Although I enjoy all ages of children, my favorite and speciality ages are newborn and infants, I want to focus more on supporting families during the tender stages of welcoming a new baby and the transition to parenthood. I come with years of hands-on experience as a nanny and a mother, first hand experience x3! My approach blends gentle care with practical support, helping families feel confident, rested, educated, and nurtured as they adjust to life with their little one. I offer daytime and overnight newborn care, postpartum support, and guidance for routines, feeding, soothing, and family transitions. Families describe me as dependable, calm, and resourceful. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where parents feel seen, babies feel secure, and the whole household can thrive.

Kaytlyn is an absolutely incredible nanny!! We worked with her for two years and I felt completely at ease with her caring for our two children. She has experience with all ages but our children ranged from newborn to 4 years old in her care. She is gentle and caring but also does a great job enforcing parents discipline or boundaries. Excellent communication surrounding the day to day and major milestones. Incredibly experienced and knowledgeable in nearly all areas of early child development and care. Very receptive to feedback. I truly cannot recommend her enough!! You won’t regret working with her!

I’m a postpartum doula who shows up for families during the intense and often unpredictable weeks after birth. My own postpartum experience had its challenges, and it shaped the way I care for others. I focus on making sure parents feel supported, listened to, and not alone in it. Families tend to describe me as warm, steady, and easy to talk to. I bring a calm presence and real-life experience into each home. I live in Colorado with my wife, our almost four-year-old son, and our crew of dogs, so I understand the day-to-day realities that come with a growing family. I’m fluent in Spanish and English and care deeply about supporting families who don’t always feel seen or prioritized in this space. I aim to create an environment that feels respectful, comfortable, and inclusive. Outside of work, I spend time thrifting, getting outdoors, and cooking traditional Mexican recipes that have been passed down in my family. I meet families where they are, without judgment, and with consistent, thoughtful support.

Yara helped us so much in our journey! She was very flexible(especially since my last baby came two weeks early!) in arrival to the hospital in the middle of the night, bringing packed meals, and helping prepare space for our growing family. I felt so much support through her mentally and physically, because she was so welcoming and comforting. She was able to know exactly what I needed or may want and made the experience that much easier!

Jamie Bergren

12 years of experience

I am a DONA certified postpartum doula and lactation counselor. Specializing in postpartum recovery, lactation, feeding and newborn care. I am also a FSI certified pediatric sleep consultant. I serve families newborn through 6 years of age, and help them navigate a variety of sleep concerns. I work in person and virtually. My services are approved and paid for through Carrot and Progyny.

Recent review

My husband and I worked with Jamie in the fall of 2021, when our first son was born. We chose a 'virtual' package, with options for video calls, phone calls, and texting. This service was exactly what we needed, and I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Jamie in this review. Her constant advocacy for the health and happiness of our son (and therefore his parents!) was incredible, including acknowledgment, understanding, listening, asking questions, and providing thoughtful recommendations (solutions to try) or references (for example to other local providers) for us to use. She even connected us to other parents selling used baby gear to purchase products to try. Knowing she had my back was such a crucial part of our first few months, and now I tell everyone if there's one thing you do for yourself and your baby in the birthing process- it's to hire a postpartum doula. Everyone should be so lucky to have Jamie have their back, available for that phone call or text when you're having your toughest moments. The reassurance is invaluable. For us, we didn't feel we needed someone in our home in person, but we needed that number to call when we had questions, and that's exactly what the virtual package provided. We give Jamie ten stars, not five, and we highly recommend working with her!

Hello! My name is Laura Rayford and I am a DONA certified birth doula in the Bay Area. I am passionate about guiding birthing people with nurturing and empowering support; working together towards your ideal birthing experience. I have completed two birth doula trainings. One through Hospital Friendly Doulas (which has allowed me to work as a volunteer doula at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, CA) and the other with Sierra Birth Institute (a training approved by DONA). Both provided me with invaluable information and numerous tools which allow me to confidently support birthing people and their families.Prior to working as a doula, I worked as a nanny for 15+ years. I have always been drawn to working closely with families and giving children the best possible care. For me, this naturally led me to doula work, helping new little people be brought into the world by their capable, brave and extraordinary birthing parent. I am excited and passionate about this work and deeply appreciate your considering inviting me into such a personal and powerful chapter of your life.

Recent review

Laura was an outstanding doula both during the prepartum phase and the delivery. She was very responsive and attentive to our needs. She has shown extreme dedication and passion for the process of delivery, and has provided useful education, all the way through birth. We are so thankful she was there to help us, and has made our delivery as stress free as possible.
