Reasonably affordable midwife, ideally for homebirth. Extremely holistic approach, absolute bare minimum. Looking for support with high mobility, low intervention labor. Preferred experience w/cord clamping, golden hour, etc. Primarily seeking midwife who is familiar with warning signs/problem occurrences in the event that labor should be continued or moved to a hospital location. But absolutely would prefer a homebirth. First time mom. Also looking for potential breastfeeding and postpartum support, just to help get my footing. Happy to elaborate on anything here; please get in touch! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Uhmmm lol, this would be my first time seeing a midwife/ receiving doula support. I apologize for not necessarily being able to identify or list my current needs.
I'm looking for someone to support me and my husband as we prepare to and work towards the birth of our son into the world. I'm a new mom, 19 weeks along as of now, and although I have excitement and hope and conviction about giving birth naturally in a birth center, I also have some first-time fears about pain management, and logistics. We live on Big Pine Key, 3 hours away from the birth center I hope to use (Maternity Options of Miami). My home is not suitable for a home birth for multiple reasons, and the only local option is a hospital in Key West that I very much want to avoid giving birth in if at all possible. That being said, I understand complications can happen, and am open to transferring to a hospital if absolutely necessary. Regardless, my work-in-progress birth plan involves minimal intervention, no medications (although I'm considering having Nitrous Oxide available for pain/stress management if necessary), no separation after birth, no episiotomy, no vaccinations or vitamin K or eye cream for baby (ideally no administration of anything for the first several weeks). I envision a calm, profound, focused, and natural birth in the tub with my husband at my side and only the midwives and a doula present. I will have no visitors during or after, and we hope to go home (or to a hotel for a day or two to return for postnatal checks) the day of. I'm looking for someone who will offer my husband suggestions and be as supportive to him almost as much as me through the birthing process (he's seen too many movies/tv shows with dramatic births and is a little concerned about all this). I'd like suggestions for techniques and positions, and assistance with preparing for birth and successfully laboring in a holistic way. Christian philosophical background a major plus! I'm hoping to find a lower cost doula, but not necessarily the cheapest. I'm willing and prepared to pay as much as $1000 if I really feel good about the fit, but would be thrilled to find a good doula for around 800.
The plan in South Miami I don’t have an estimated budget. I just would like pretty so I wanted to know a little bit more would like somebody to speak Spanish
