Hello! My name is Tab’itha, better known as Tabby, and I’m a passionate certified professional midwife currently residing in Mesquite, Texas. I was born and raised in the Stop 6 area of Fort Worth, TX, and I am a proud mother of three teenage girls. From a young age, I always wanted to be a "baby doctor." My grandmother would often say, "You will be a doctor, and your sister will be a lawyer." Although I encountered quite a few roadblocks and detours along the way, I eventually found my way back to what my grandmother had always believed in, but in a way that resonates with me even more—becoming a midwife. I later discovered that midwifery was in my blood; my great-grandmother was a trusted midwife in her small community in Mississippi, which further inspired my journey. I graduated from Southwest Tech with an associate degree in Health Science and Midwifery in December 2024 and passed my NARM exam in April 2025, becoming fully licensed as a midwife in Texas. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s in Nursing at Arizona College, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in healthcare. My journey into birth work began in 2018 when I trained as a birth doula through DONA. As a doula, I have attended over 150 in-hospital and out-of-hospital births. When COVID peaked, I was fortunate enough to continue support in the hospital. It was during this time that I realized I needed to acquire the education and skills to become a community midwife sooner than I had originally planned. During my schooling, I attended an additional 95 births and worked with several well-respected midwives and OB-GYNs in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, gaining invaluable experience. I have also acquired skills and experience as a bereavement and cesarean/VBAC support specialist, allowing me to provide comprehensive care to families during significant moments in their lives. I believe in the power of compassionate care and informed choices, striving to create a safe and nurturing environment for my clients. My end goal is to become a certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner, bringing holistic and woman-centered care to communities that lack representation, including the area where I grew up. As an avid homeschooler, I enjoy engaging with my daughters in their education while also finding joy in my hobbies such as sewing, crafts, hosting workshops for young girls, and assisting in the offices I hold in my church. My goal is to continue growing in my practice while providing exceptional care to those I serve.

I have a great love of serving and caring for new mamas and their newborns. It's a passion I've had since a teenager. My first postpartum client was when I was 18 yrs old - before the word doula was ever known. I have 40yrs of experience working with newborns, new parents, as an educator, postpartum doula, nanny, lactation educator, and newborn care specialist. I have worked in the 3rd largest hospital in the country within the maternity unit as a nurse assistant/patient tech. I also sleep condition and train babies to sleep well at night as long as the parents follow through with instructions when I am not there. Baby can sleep between 10-12hr straight. I also travel with the families anywhere they go within my time frame of my contract. Passport/TSI ready. Many families have me between 6weeks-4months. Hello, I am a certified postpartum doula. I have worked with babies/children since I was 13. I babysat and nannied throughout my teenage years. In college I worked at numerous daycare facilities (newborn-preschool). I earned my bachelors degree from the University of North Texas in early childhood education. I taught for 5 years in 2nd grade and in PE. In 2008 we welcomed our first (of six) baby. I now have 5 boys and a daughter that I homeschool. My youngest is now six and I miss the newborn season!! I recently got my certification to be a nighttime postpartum doula. My goal is to support the new momma (and family) and help them to enjoy and cherish this quick season of having a new baby. I’m Em - mama of many, wife to my best friend and new homestead-er. I created my photography business in 2018 not knowing exactly what I wanted to capture, I just knew I wanted to help those in my community save their memories for a lifetime. Fast forward to 2021, I attended my first birth, a sweet home birth. After that I know that birth work was exactly what I was looking for - it has become my passion.
