At Rooted in Care, we believe families deserve honest information, steady support, and the space to make decisions that truly align with their values. We understand that navigating pregnancy and birth can feel complex, especially within healthcare systems that don’t always leave room for meaningful conversation or clarity.
Our role as doulas is to walk alongside you with calm, knowledgeable support. We provide evidence-based information, emotional reassurance, and practical comfort so you feel confident in your choices—whether you are planning a hospital birth, navigating medical complexities, or exploring alternative care options.
We believe in balance. Rooted in Care supports collaboration with medical providers while also centering your right to informed consent and respectful care. We don’t approach birth from fear or from blind trust, but from understanding—helping you feel grounded, prepared, and supported through each stage of the process.
Families often choose Rooted in Care when they want a doula who listens closely, communicates clearly, and remains steady in moments that feel uncertain. We are committed to showing up with integrity, presence, and compassion before, during, and after birth.
Rooted in Care offers a hybrid program to be more flexible to all moms, no matter where you live!
A hybrid doula care program blends virtual support with in-person elements (where possible) to support moms through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period — especially useful for out-of-state moms who can’t have a doula physically present for all phases of care.
Virtual (Online) Support
This is done through:
Video calls (Zoom/FaceTime) for education and planning
Phone/text support for encouragement and questions
Remote labor support where the doula coaches you and your support partner in real time during early labor
Education sessions on pregnancy, birth plans, comfort measures, and postpartum topics
Virtual doulas help with birth planning, emotional support, and postpartum adjustment through screens, messaging, and scheduled calls.
In-Person Support (When Safe/Possible)
In-person visits during and after birth
Hands-on postpartum help if the doula travels or partners with local doulas
(This depends on the provider’s location and travel policies.)
