I plan to give birth at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg and I’ve been wanting a doula. I don’t know much about any of the process. My pregnancy has been rough and any energy I have goes to my job. I have no idea about a birth plan other than to deliver. I want to try natural and try water but I might cave with the epidural. This is my first baby and I’d like someone with experience with first time moms in labor.
Lilliana is looking for Lactation Consultant
Location: Clifton Forge, VA 24422, USA

Baby was ebf until recently when he started having tummy issues after eating. We tried gas drops, gripe water. We discussed with the pediatrician and because baby was gaining weight normally he wasn't concerned. I formula fed for a few days to focus exclusively on pumping to build up a fridge supply for when I go back to work. Those 2 days of formula he was way less fussy. Last night we went back to breast feeding and as soon as I laid him down he grunted and strained for hours. I do not want to formula feed him, I want to know why my breast milk is bad. I don't have money if im being honest

My daughter just turned 3 and I'm still nursing her to sleep. She's also never slept through the night. I don't have much income. I'm a SAHM so income is limited. My daughter nurses while I'm using the bathroom or just laying down. She's nursing more and she has a tantrum every time I tell her no. I'm so over the breastfeeding. I just want some peace.

Smita is looking for Lactation Consultant
Location: Richmond, VA 23230, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: March 07, 2026
My baby was not able to breastfeed right after birth. He was admitted to the NICU for 5 days due to respiratory issues, so we did not have the opportunity to initiate breastfeeding or establish a latch early on. After bringing him home, I felt hesitant to attempt breastfeeding because of his health concerns. Around 2–3 weeks postpartum, I began trying to breastfeed, but he has difficulty latching and often refuses to take the breast altogether. Currently, he is exclusively formula-fed. I have tried pumping, but my milk supply is very low, and I am only able to express minimal amounts. What I Need Help With I would really appreciate support with: Helping my baby learn to latch and accept the breast Techniques to encourage breastfeeding after a delayed start Guidance on increasing my milk supply Any strategies or tools (positions, nipple shields, etc.) that might help in our situation I’m very motivated to try breastfeeding if it’s still possible and would appreciate any guidance you can provide.
