She is also very passionate about advocating for better postpartum care and not allowing any mother to normalize pelvic dysfunction and pain. Hailey was born in Arizona and made her way to Albuquerque, NM where she graduated from the University of New Mexico. She has 11 years of experience working in the personal training industry and it was this experience that ignited her passion to help others in a more direct approach by pursuing her career as a physical therapist. She and her husband Chris, moved to Fort Worth so she could attend The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth to complete her doctorate in physical therapy. She enjoys spending time at home with her husband, new son Jackson, and two dogs, Ava and Jovi. In her free time, she loves to be creative in any way from painting, to building furniture and renovating her home.

Hi, my name is Dr. Amie Dougherty PT, DPT and clients call me “Mrs. Amie”. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and specialize in pediatrics. I have over 10 years of pediatric home health experience helping kids gain independence to reach their fullest potential. Throughout my career I have held many roles- lead physical therapist, supervising physical therapist, mentor for new graduates and experienced clinicians, clinical instructor, and clinical manager supervising speech, occupational, and physical therapists. Why did I create Milestones At Play? I love teaching and sharing my expertise and knowledge gained over the years with families, both as a mom and therapist. It is my goal to set every kiddo and family up for success. As a mom and former stay-at-home-mom with a kiddo in therapies, I know raising littles is hard. I am here to help! I created Milestones at Play to be a resource for families, to help each kiddo be their unique self, and to help parents encourage gross motor confidence in their littles through play. Latched provides breastfeeding friendly physical therapy for babies and mamas. Many of us never put much thought into how we would feed our babies. However, for many babies and mamas (like my little one and me), breastfeeding can come with lots of new challenges.
