Hi I need help with latching , I’ve been trying for a few weeks and have not been successful. I have reached out to virtual location specialist but each meeting has been virtual and I would like in person support.

My baby is 2 months old and we are still struggling with breastfeeding. I have inverted nipples and was using a nipple shield this whole time but stopped using it. My baby isnt always able to latch well and i feel her chomping and struggling to latch. I have nipple vasospasms very painfully. Im so sad and depressed Ive seen 3 different virtual IBCLC and one in person at the hospital but still struggling. I really need someone to come spend time with me and my baby at home please to help figure out how to be successful and pain free. Idk how many visits i will need yet.

Hello, I'm struggling to have my baby latch properly. Ive never been able to get her to open wide enough to latch properly without pain. I’ve been using nipple shields to alleviate the pain but I feel like she doesn’t swallow as much or actively feed when using the nipple shield. She just uses it as a pacifier and the moment I take her off the breast shes still hungry. But on the breast she just falls asleep. I’ve also been pumping but don't have enough supply to keep up with her demand. I’ve had to supplement with formula because she was losing too much weight, but my goal is to exclusively breast feed /pump.

Cesarean date 9/29. My preference would be to have someone visit to set us up correctly in the early days rather than wait until there are issues, but would like to discuss with someone.

For the past three days ive been struggling with an engorged left breast. I’ve been trying cold compresses and lymphatic drainage massages but nothing’s helping and it continues to get more engorged. When I try to empty it, there’s barely any milk coming out. I am extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully, I’m not showing any signs of mastitis.

I am looking for a lactation consultant to help me prepare for breastfeeding before my baby’s arrival and to provide support after delivery. As a first-time mom, I would appreciate guidance with latching, feeding, pumping, milk supply, and any questions that come up. I do not have any specific requirements for the provider, but I would like someone who is covered by my Kaiser HMO insurance. I understand there may be copays and am comfortable with that.

I am an experienced second-time mother currently breastfeeding my 5-month-old who is experiencing severe, sudden-onset sharp pain and body shaking upon latching. To resolve this, I am seeking an in-person evaluation from an in-network International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) covered by my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance to identify the underlying cause and provide hands-on relief.

Hi! I’m a 21-year-old married mom of a 2-year-old, currently pregnant with my second baby and going through a separation from my husband. I’m a Christian, and I’m really looking for a doula who can support me physically, emotionally, and spiritually throughout this pregnancy and birth. I’m hoping to have an unmedicated, natural birth and would love to learn breathing techniques, labor positions, and different coping strategies to help me prepare. I’m honestly scared, and one of my biggest goals is to have a positive birth experience and to avoid tearing entirely if possible. I want to learn everything I can to prepare my body and reduce my risk of tearing. I also want to learn more about nutrition during pregnancy, including organic foods and understanding healthy versus less-healthy carbohydrates. I plan to breastfeed again and would love support with preparing for that as well. I also have questions about healthy weight management during pregnancy and postpartum and would love guidance on how to safely care for my body while making sure my baby is properly nourished. My husband and I are separated, but I would like him to be able to learn how to support me during pregnancy and birth if he is willing. I would appreciate a doula who can help educate both of us on what genuine, respectful support can look like during labor and delivery. As a Black mother and woman, I’m also very aware of the disparities and racism Black women can face within the healthcare system. Having someone who can advocate for me, help me understand my options, and make sure my voice is heard and respected during such a vulnerable experience is extremely important to me. I really want to feel safe, informed, empowered, and supported throughout this journey.
