My journey into birthwork is deeply personal, generational, and spirit-led. From a young age, I was immersed in the spirit of holistic healing and service, assisting my aunt in community organizing and witnessing my great grandmother heal many with herbs throughout San Francisco. After reading Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth during my first pregnancy, I was introduced to the term “doula” and knew that I wanted to be one.
