For the past two years I have worked as a full-spectrum doula, now devoting most of my practice to supporting families in the postpartum period, and have had the privilege of serving more than fifty postpartum families. My calling to this work is deeply personal. Having lost my own mother during adolescence, I grew into my maternal nature early. That experience shaped my understanding of how essential nurturing, presence, and steady support truly are, especially during the vulnerable days and weeks after birth. I bring that perspective into every home I serve. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical. I aim to create a calm, affirming space where parents can rest, heal, learn, and feel genuinely cared for. At the heart of my work is a simple mission: to make a meaningful difference for families during one of the most tender and powerful transitions of their lives.

Hello, my name is Kendra. I am postpartum doula training through Dona International. I have background in family health advocacy and early childhood education. I have over 12 years of experience working with children from toddler through pre-K and supporting prenatal and postpartum families through education, referrals, and care coordination. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I believe it is important to empower women by encouraging confidence, providing education, and offering compassionate support as they navigate postpartum and early parenthood.

In addition to being a Certified Postpartum Doula of 18 years, I am also a Licensed Home Birth Midwife (licensed by the Medical Board of California) and Newborn Care Specialist. I am fully insured and Trustline Registry approved (CA background check) I am current with Neonatal resuscitation, infant and CPR certifications. I have over 18 years of experience providing postpartum doula support, with a large portion of my work focused specifically on overnight care for newborns and first-time parents including preemies, twins and triplets. My role during night shifts is to prioritize both infant safety and parental rest, handling all newborn care overnight (feeding support, soothing, diapering, settling, and monitoring), while also supporting parents in learning their baby’s cues and milestones. My goal is that parents wake feeling rested, reassured, and more confident each day.

I love to cook, bake, go to car shows and am generally up for anything I can do with a Tea in hand (don't worry, I finish my Tea BEFORE attending a birth)! Alaina Nunez is a Certified Professional Birth Photographer and Videographer in Southern California as well as a birth doula, perinatal nutrition expert, Certified Lactation Educator Specialist and Certified Photography Trainer. She documents birth stories with her sense of calm and unique observational perspective. Her images are said to be editorial, intimate, and “in the moment”. She focuses on documenting the environment and emotions and notices and captures the little details that would otherwise go un-noticed and be forgotten. She is a second generation homeschooling mama of 7, which gives her the skill set to be flexible within a variety of situations and think quickly on her feet while seeing the beauty in the mess mess and chaos. She started attending births as a birth photographer in 2013 after the birth of her 4th child and supporting families as a doula in 2020 after the birth of her 6th child. Alaina is a Christian and opening shares about her faith and how she brings the Lord into the birth space. She says it would be impossible to not bring God into such vulnerable moments and prays for and over her clients throughout pregnancy and birth. She gives credit to God for her business and the gift of being able to support families while also documenting their birth journeys. She believes documentation is an important aspect of not just preserving stories but legacies and testimonies.
