Nurture The Divine is rooted in serving and empowering women to achieve the birth experience of their dreams. There is so much transformation that occurs during all 4 trimesters of pregnancy and it’s important for women to feel understood, heard, and validated during this sacred time. My doula approach encompasses physical, emotional, educational, and energetic support in a warm and loving space. My goal is to bring truly comprehensive, safe, healing, and whole-hearted doula care to all the beautiful families that I am blessed to interact with. I truly believe there is immense value in providing a safe space for the divine feminine to shine. Even in rare cases when medical interventions are necessary for the safety of mom and baby, the sacred nature of birth can still be preserved.

I don't even know where to start. I am almost 3 weeks postpartum and have been heavily reflecting on my pregnancy, labor, and delivery as a first-time mom. I matched with Kalista when I was about 20 weeks pregnant. The kindness, support, and education provided by Kalista from day 1 has made the entire experience incredibly memorable. My plan was to have an unmedicated birth, but complications along the way forced an induction and an epidural. My body continued to struggle to dilate, which caused a very uncomfortable, prolonged labor. There were many moments of feeling very challenged and overwhelmed. Kalista stayed by my side in the hospital the entire time, as soon as I was admitted. Kalista provided ambient lighting, meditation music, electrolytes, stress tools (ball and labor comb), suggested positions to try during contractions, and massaged my legs during the most intense times. One of the most memorable things I will always remember during my labor and delivery was her soft, kind words of encouragement during painful moments and during my actual delivery. I honestly can say that I wouldn't have been able to overcome the challenges without her and my fiance by my side. I was hard on myself when the turn of events changed my birth plan. Kalista made my fiance and I feel comfortable and confident that we could overcome it all and still have a positive delivery. When I look back on everything, I can honestly say that I will miss the entire experience and parts of me wish that it wasn't over. If I ever have another baby, I hope that Kalista is available again to help me have another positive birth experience. We are so grateful for her!

Hi there, I’m Becky and have been working with new families since 2016 as a doula and parent educator in the Los Angeles, Ca and surrounding communities. I truly believe the support of a new mother starts during pregnancy and through the first year postpartum. I am a first generation Latinx woman and use the pronouns She/Her/Ella. I primarily grew up in Whittier, CA, but spend several years in Nayarit, Mexico. I am married with 3 beautiful children of my own. I hope I can help you plan for the best birth and postpartum period imaginable.

After learning about postpartum doulas during my birth prep, I knew that was a support my husband and I would want after the birth of our first child. My mother isn't really in my life, my mother-in-law wasn't going to be available, and we felt like we had no idea what we were doing. Enter Becky! From the very beginning, Becky was a steady and knowledgeable voice, guiding us through this massive shift in our lives. She was there from the beginning, teaching us everything from breastfeeding tips and first baths to developmental milestones. All the nervous questions I had, that would have led us straight to urgent care countless times, she had a logical and fact-based answer for. When she was over, I could take a break to shower or do something for myself, knowing my baby was in excellent hands. Even her and our reactive dog became besties. By the end of our three months together she was more like a big sister to me than someone we hired to help us. Our little family loves her and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a postpartum doula.

Autonomy-Centered Birth & Postpartum Doula for Sovereign, Physiological Birth | Serving LA & OC | Kaiser-Friendly Hi, I’m Teejay Casado — founder of Temple & Terrain Birthworks — a faith-rooted birth and postpartum doula serving Los Angeles & Orange Counties. I specialize in supporting women who desire physiological, low-intervention birth while preserving autonomy and informed consent in hospital or home settings. My clients are often: • Planning natural or low-intervention hospital births • Desiring delayed cord clamping, Golden Hour, or lotus birth • Seeking evidence-based advocacy within systems like Kaiser • Wanting sovereignty in their birth decisions • Craving calm, grounded leadership during labor With a background in anthropology, I honor birth as both an ancient physiological process and a sacred rite of passage. I help mothers prepare not just physically — but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually — so they enter birth informed, steady, and confident. Whether birthing at Kaiser or elsewhere, I guide families in: • Protecting the Golden Hour • Navigating hospital dynamics with clarity • Minimizing unnecessary interventions • Preserving mother-baby bonding • Creating a peaceful postpartum integration My postpartum support is deeply restorative, focused on nervous system regulation, gentle bodywork, whole-food nourishment, and helping mothers feel seen — not just cared for. If you are seeking sovereign birth, calm leadership, and faith-rooted support without pressure — I would love to connect.

Teejay is an incredibly thorough and attentive massage therapist. She takes her time, giving careful attention to every muscle and joint, and truly listens to my specific needs. Her knowledge of postpartum recovery and infant care is impressive — clearly reflecting her experience as a mom of three. I always leave feeling rejuvenated and well cared for. I would highly, highly recommend her to other moms, especially those navigating postpartum recovery.

We reached out to Veronica when our five-week-old baby was having intense four-hour screaming fits every late afternoon. We were completely exhausted—mentally and physically—and felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. At that point, we realized we didn’t just need help calming our baby—we needed professional guidance and education as new parents. We began looking for a coach and a New Parent Educator who could truly teach us and support us during this challenging stage. Veronica kept coming up everywhere, and after connecting with her, we knew she was the right fit for our family. We hired Veronica as our New Daddy Doula Coach and New Parent Educator, and it was one of the best decisions we made. As a dad, I really needed reassurance and hands-on teaching. Veronica made me feel calm, capable, and confident. She also supported my wife, Chao, as a new mom, helping both of us understand our baby’s needs and how our own emotions impacted him. When Veronica arrived, our baby was inconsolable. Within a short time, she calmly fed him, soothed him in her arms, and he fell asleep peacefully. She then taught us practical techniques to calm our fussy baby and coached us on how to regulate our own breathing and energy, explaining how babies absorb and respond to parental stress. By the time Veronica finished working with us, the transformation was incredible—from hours of crying to a peaceful evening where we were playing cards in the kitchen with our baby content in our arms. We now use her tips every day. As parents, we feel more confident and grounded, and we truly understand the basics of caring for our baby. We are deeply grateful for Veronica’s support and would highly recommend her. We look forward to working with her again.

At Birth by Brit I believe that birth and feeding should feel supported, empowered, and even a little magical. I’m here for you to be there every step of the way from pregnancy, birth and beyond with non-judgmental and evidence based care. My business is led by me, a nurse, lactation counselor, and parent who knows the beauty and chaos of this season firsthand. I have been an OB nurse for the past 7 years, a lactation counselor the last 4 years and a mom of 2. I lead with compassion and have a strong belief in tailoring your care to YOU and your individual needs. My philosophy is that education is empowerment. I fully believe that feeling prepared and educated early on brings such a sense of calm and control your birthing space. I proudly serve all birthing people and families, honoring every identity, body, and background with inclusive care. I offer both virtual and in person services to be able to support families with a variety of budgets

I cannot recommend Brit highly enough. I found her at 36 weeks when I realized I had a lot of anxiety about giving birth in a hospital setting, and she completely transformed my experience. Brit took the time to thoroughly educate me about all the potential interventions I might encounter at the hospital, which helped me feel informed and prepared rather than fearful. During my 29-hour labor, she was there for nearly the entire time, providing steady, calm support exactly when I needed it most. What made Brit truly exceptional was how she empowered both my husband and me to advocate for ourselves. When we needed to request a change in our attending nurse, she helped us navigate that conversation. She guided us in understanding what kinds of support and interventions were right for us, always centering my preferences and comfort. Having Brit on my team made all the difference—I felt like an active participant in my own birth rather than something happening to me. She helped me reclaim my birth experience and feel confident in my choices. If you're looking for a doula who will educate, support, and empower you through one of life's most intense experiences, Brit is your woman!

I am a postpartum doula dedicated to supporting families as they welcome their newest little one. My passion for this work grew from a deep belief that parents deserve just as much care and nurturing as their babies. Whether you’re recovering from birth, navigating the early days of parenthood, or adjusting to life with a newly adopted baby, my goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where you feel rested, confident, and cared for. I offer a blend of emotional support, practical guidance, and hands-on help tailored to your family’s unique needs. As a mom of two young boys, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges that come with welcoming a baby. Those early days can be beautiful, exhausting, and everything in between — and it’s what inspired me to walk alongside other families during this precious season. It’s an honor to support parents as they grow their families, and I’d be honored to support yours.

I wasn’t sure what the balance of welcoming our second child would bring but I’m glad Kim was able to offer support through the adjustment. Kim provided much needed hands on help during the newborn phase and early postpartum period which helped me feel confident and better adjusted early on. She has a gentle and calm approach to supporting both mom and baby. I also appreciated her guidance and knowledge in navigating breastfeeding. I am grateful to Kim for her patience, support, and presence during this important transition for myself and my family.

Hey there! My name is Nikki and I'm so excited to support you and your family during this transitional time! Caring for families during the most exciting but also most vulnerable and scary time in their lives is my passion and calling. I particularly take interest in helping LGBTQIA+ families, neurodivergent parents, and parenting after infertility. My job is to leave a family feeling better than when I arrived by providing emotional and physical support, education, information, and resources.

Recent review

TLDR: We wholeheartedly, without reservation, recommend Nikki. Trustworthy, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, excellent. Hire her! More Details: After 3 months in the hospital (a month on the perinatal high risk unit with preeclampsia, then 2 months in the NICU after emergency c-section), Nikki stepped in to help us when we finally brought home our little preemie. We were terrified, exhausted, lost, confused and traumatized. I'm not sure how we would have managed without Nikki. My husband and I were AMAZED constantly at her knowledge and skills around our newborn. This little alien lifeform that I had no idea what to do with, she just knew intuitively. She also helped take care of me making sure I always had a full water glass, making sure I ate, making sure I could shower and nap. Another thing I really really appreciated about Nikki was her lactation knowledge. Because of the preeclampsia/c-section/prematurity, our breastfeeding journey was just rough. I was pumping every 2-3 hours, and also going to appointments with IBCLCs and OTs to try to help, and also trying all the different pumps. Nikki's knowledge and advice was SO helpful. I would be overwhelmed at trying to figure out how to use this stupid new pump I bought, and Nikki very patiently figured it out and helped. She accompanied us to appointments, gave input, and helped implement suggestions. Besides all of that, she was just easy to be around, which was huge in the early days. Easy to talk to, good sense of humor, open and authentic. She would come in the early morning, and quietly come take the baby out of her bassinet while we were passed out trying to recover from a rough night of wakings and pumpings. Plus she did a lot of extra stuff that I'm not sure is even part of doula care? In my early postpartum haze, I decided it was the right time to try to make challah for the first time (what?!) and she was on board with me, helping me make the dough, while also experimenting with a wearable pump at the same time?! We also really appreciated that she was never judgemental or critical, always objective and answered questions and problems from a place of knowledge of evidence and experience.

I’m a Licensed Midwife (LM), Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), and full-spectrum birth worker with 25 years of experience supporting families through the childbearing year. My journey began with hands-on caregiving as a teen and evolved into a deeply rooted, evidence-informed midwifery practice that honors both clinical excellence and cultural humility. After years in early childhood education, culinary arts, and caregiving roles, I pursued my formal training in midwifery at Bastyr University, earning a Master of Science in Midwifery. Since then, I’ve attended over 200 births and provided hundreds of families with compassionate care through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. I specialize in out-of-hospital birth, postpartum care, lactation support, and newborn transitions. I’ve worked across diverse communities, including high-profile clients, international families, and those navigating complex psychosocial or medical needs. My approach blends practical support with trauma-informed, family-centered care that respects bodily autonomy, informed choice, and collaborative healthcare. In addition to my clinical work, I manage and mentor through Daisy Midwifery, LLC, a collective that uplifts birth workers through professional development, administrative support, and peer guidance. I believe midwifery is both a calling and a commitment to collective well-being. Whether I'm catching babies, supporting newborn feeding, or walking with a client through postpartum recovery, my goal is to show up fully, with skill, softness, and strength.

My family has been lucky enough to partner with AnneLisa during our postpartum journey. She is self proclaimed holistic and that term is just right. At night time, AnneLisa comes to your house and spends time checking in with the Mom and finding out any information about baby. She writes notes about her night with baby and shares with both parents. She ends her service by making a very large breakfast (her oatmeal lasted me at least 3 servings each time). During the daytime, she checks in on Mom again, and that can come as talking, French hair braiding or massage. She can also teach you newborn skills like how to take baby out for a walk, or how to bathe baby. On top of all this, AnneLisa partners with a wonderful woman in the insurance industry who can help you check to see what is covered and even help try and get reimbursements. If you’re looking for a doula, while I can only attest to her postpartum skills, I’m sure she’s amazing as a birth doula as well. I highly recommend working with AnneLisa.
