Hello, I am a certified Postpartum Doula living in West LA with my husband and two children. Since becoming a mother myself, I’ve realized I have a nurturing spirit inside me. As your postpartum doula, I will be there supporting and educating you through the first 4 to 6 weeks after welcoming your new baby, and provide you a safe, empowering space for you to bond with your baby and heal both mentally and physically after birth.

Recent review

As first-time parents without a local support system, hiring Kate as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made. From the very first day, her warm, kind, and calming presence instantly put our minds at ease during what can be an overwhelming transition. Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and informative, and she taught us so much about caring for our baby—always in a way that felt supportive and never judgmental. Over the first couple of months of our son’s life, Kate truly felt like a member of our family. She guided us through early parenthood with compassion and confidence, helping us navigate everything from soothing our baby and changing diapers to cooking delicious meals and simply being a steady shoulder to lean on. Thanks to her, we now feel equipped and confident as parents, and we know we can always rely on Kate as a trusted helping hand. We 100% recommend Kate to any parents, especially first-timers. Thank you, Kate!

Hi there! If you’re looking for overnight newborn care, I’d be delighted to help. My name is Maria, and I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS, also known as a night nanny or night nurse), Postpartum Doula, Sleep Consultant, and a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor. I specialize in overnight newborn care and currently have availability for nighttime positions. I bring extensive experience, a genuine passion for caring for newborns, and a nurturing, patient, and understanding approach that parents trust. References, contact numbers, and my resume are available upon request. I am CPR & First Aid Pediatric certified, TrustLine certified, fully immunized (including COVID-19), and able to travel anywhere within Los Angeles County. My mission is to provide newborns and families with safe, compassionate, and individualized care, ensuring both baby and parents rest easy. I would love the opportunity to support your family and make those first weeks with your newborn as smooth and restful as possible.

Recent review

If you’re reading this, hire her. Maria is the best decision we made when we found out our first pregnancy was twins. Speaking to her took away my fears of two babies at once and as soon as they were home she took wonderful care of them. She got us on a schedule, was wonderful with my NICU baby, helped get them sleeping long stretches, and supported a medical issue that impacted ability to feed. Our newborn experience was so much better with her here. She’s also really easy to have in your home and I enjoyed her immensely. One tip for twin moms- account for adjusted age when determining contract length because it really does take 12 weeks adjusted to sleep full nights!

I’m Curtrelle! Your Certified Doula, and Lactation Educator! Nice to meet you! I am an adventurer, fitness and wellness enthusiast, foodie, intermediate snowboarder, and a Registered Nurse of 10+ years, with a passion for service and maternal and public health equity. My mission? To empower you and your family as you navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. To make sure your birth and postpartum plans are clearly communicated. My method? Providing wrap-around, holistic, and evidence-based support and education. My why? We deserve BETTER! Birthing people, ESPECIALLY, Black, Indigenous, POC, and LBGTQ+, deserve better birthing outcomes! As a health equity and justice advocate, I believe in safe, sacred, collaborative, and informed birthing experiences for ALL birthing people, whether it be inside or outside of the hospital.

Recent review

Working with Curtrelle made my birthing experience so much better than I could’ve imagined. As a first time mom, I was overwhelmed with the amount of information I was receiving from doctors, relatives and my social media. Curtrelle was instrumental in keeping both my partner and I calm, informed, and hopeful throughout the entire birthing process. Her techniques, presence and overall explanation of the process beforehand during and after were incredibly helpful for two new parents who felt lost in a sea of information. We truly feel she was the reason we had such a great birthing experience and we loved her demeanor not just with us, but with the people we decided to include in the process as well. I highly recommend anyone looking for a doula that is informed, calming, reassuring, and overall great person to work with Curtrelle.

Nicole was an amazing doula for my wife and I. After a difficult first birth she helped guide us in ways that we didn’t know how to such as laboring at home, pain management, and advocate for my wife’s needs. As the husband I recommend her to help you, help your wife as our second birth with her was way way better and wish we would have found her for our first. She is amazing, caring, and sweet person who knows what she is doing in a stressful situation. I would give her a 100 stars if it would let me. Use Nicole if you can and was excited a doula was covered by our insurance.

Our experience with Melanie was nothing short of exceptional. Melanie was our NCS from the day our son was born until 6 months of age. She truly operated as the Lead NCS for our household, setting the standard for everyone else and ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. Her level of organization was outstanding. Melanie was always proactive about keeping me informed on anything that needed restocking and made sure our home was consistently well prepared and fully supplied. Melanie’s commitment to hygiene and safety was a huge stand out for us. She maintained the highest standards of cleanliness in caring for our newborn and was incredibly diligent about safe sleep practices at all times, which gave us real peace of mind. Every night, she provided thoughtful, consistent updates so we always knew exactly how our son was doing. Melanie also took the initiative to organize and coordinate the nightly schedule between myself and the other staff, ensuring everyone was aligned and that care was consistent. All of our son’s feeding, sleeping, and changing items were always perfectly organized and ready, making everything feel effortless. Beyond technical skills, Melanie brought a level of professionalism and leadership that elevated our entire household. She truly ran a well-managed, attentive, and calm environment for our son, and we are incredibly grateful for the care and structure she provided during such an important time. We hope to have her back for baby #2!

Oh my God, I love Pearl! Every time I need to book an appointment, I look forward to seeing her. During my prenatal visits, she was always so supportive. Whenever I complained about back pain, she would give me a back rub that really helped. She also taught me breathing techniques and shared many helpful tips throughout my pregnancy. After my baby was born, Pearl continued to be an amazing support. She showed me how to bathe my baby and helped me feel more confident as a new mom. She would even watch my baby while I took a shower, ate a meal, or took care of personal things. I highly recommend Pearl to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and supportive doula. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients!

If you value both evidence and intuition, I might be the doula for you. I love helping clients combine research and their own instincts to make decisions that are right for them. Furthermore, I might be the doula for you if you want support without an agenda. I don’t believe there’s an ideal way to approach birth or postpartum adjustment. I’m here to understand and support whatever path you want to take.

I had the privilege of having Glo as my birth and postpartum doula, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. As someone who had always been terrified of giving birth, I can honestly say that my birth experience was not only positive, but actually enjoyable—and that was 100% because of Glo. During our prenatal session, she took the time to educate both my husband and me on all things birth. We left feeling informed, confident, and empowered to advocate for ourselves and make decisions that felt right for our family. Glo was an incredible support throughout the process. She always made sure we understood our options and the evidence behind them, but never pushed us in any particular direction. Instead, she fully supported every decision we made, which made us feel respected, calm, and in control during such an important moment. Her postpartum support was just as amazing. She provided immense emotional support during those early weeks, along with practical help with our baby, thoughtful guidance, and even assistance with meal prep and grocery shopping. Having her there made such a difference during a time that can feel overwhelming. Glo truly helped shape our transition into parenthood into such a smooth, supported, and genuinely lovely experience. We are beyond grateful for her and feel so lucky to have had her by our side during this journey.

Momo Bass

7 years of experience

Hello everyone, my name is Momo Bass and I am a certified birth doula as well as a trained postpartum doula that serves the greater Los Angeles and Pasadena area. Aside from doing this rewarding work for a while, I am also a mama myself, to three amazing kiddos! When I'm not cheering on my kids at soccer practice, you'll likely find me tending to my ever-growing houseplant collection, or tending to myself at the gym. But my true passion lies in supporting families embarking on their incredible birthing journey. Motherhood is what threw me into the thralls of what it means to bring life into this world. It's this firsthand knowledge, coupled with my relentless curiosity about the miracle of birth and the transition into becoming a parent, that led me to become a birth and postpartum doula. Bringing my kiddos earth side became my superpower, and it’s become my mission to ignite that same fire in the families I work with. I believe that starts with finding judgment-free informational and emotional support, and I believe it starts when parents take back control of how their labor & postpartum experience goes by making informed decisions on what’s best for yourself and your growing family. “Everyone wants to hold the baby, but who will hold the mother/parents?” As a birth and postpartum doula, I will!

Recent review

I had the pleasure of working alongside Monique as my co-doula, and I can confidently say she is an exceptional professional. Momo brings warmth, compassion, and unwavering dedication to every family she supports. Her calm demeanor and intuitive ability to anticipate the needs of both birthing parents and their partners make her a reliable and invaluable presence during such an important time. Working with Momo, I’ve seen firsthand how her knowledge, experience, and genuine care create a safe and empowering space for her clients. She has a natural gift for fostering connection and ensuring her clients feel heard, supported, and respected throughout their journey. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have Momo by their side. She’s not just a doula but a true advocate and companion for the families she serves. Warmly, Maia S

I don’t even know where to begin lavishing praise on Angela. I had an unexpectedly long + challenging labor with my second — prodromal labor AND PROM — and I can confidently say I would not have mentally survived if not for Angela. From our initial meeting her warm, empathetic, compassionate + hilarious soul nearly lept through the screen. I scrambled to hire her + thank Whoever I did because I needed every drop of that soul she could spare! She went above + beyond my wildest expectations both in terms of standard doula care + personal commitment. She was so easy to talk to, always open and took some of the things we talked about and created the most beautiful trinkets out of them for my labor. I experienced a lot of doubt + despair in early labor, but it was beautifully calmed by Angela’s sympathetic, tender presence + the environment she effortlessly created in my room — even the nurses were awed by what she did. The moments that will stay with me forever are when I was in active labor + pushing. I birthed unmedicated, so was on another plane, but vividly remember Angela gently handing me things to squeeze right at the moment I needed it most. She jumped in when appropriate + stood back when needed as well. She was the absolute perfect person to be by my husband + my side. She helped us walk through all possibilities that were presented to us throughout in terms of induction, medication alternatives + she gave me the exact validation I needed right after my baby was born. I’ll never forget her encouragement + praise of me. There were some rough moments involving the medical staff, but Angela’s kindness + genuine caring is louder in my memory. Not only would you not regret hiring Angela, you will be including one of the most skilled, empathetic, resourceful, supportive, most beautiful people to be by your side for such a momentous time in in your life. You could not ask for a better person or doula. I’m honored she helped usher in my second baby + they will forever know her name.
