Hi! I’m Crystal! I am a birth and postpartum doula in Solano County. I’m the eldest daughter of Mexican Immigrant parents. My birthwork practice is rooted in remembering and reclaiming ancestral wisdom and indigenous traditions. My parenthood journey opened my eyes to the ways our society has failed mothers and birthers which lead me to this work! I believe birthwork is revolutionary and my role is to show radical love and support for birthing people. I believe in informed consent and I do not shy away from advocacy! I support birthing people and their choices and I see it as my job to ensure you have the education, resources , as well as the empowerment to advocate for yourself and your baby. Birth and postpartum are team sports! Along with supporting the birthing person I also specialize in facilitating support from partners, families, and friends. Please check out my website for all of my offerings! Hola, soy Crystal!

I had such a wonderful experience having Crystal as my doula. She provided me with resources, tips, advice on how to prepare for my upcoming birthing experience. She was there with me the whole time I was in the hospital, and she helped ensure that I was as comfortable as possible during my labor. She did a great job in advocating my needs and birth plan to the hospital staff as well. I don't know what I would have done not having her as part of my support system. I highly recommend her!

Klarity Coleman has been an invaluable part of my birth and postpartum journey as a dedicated birth and postpartum doula. From the very beginning, they created a space where I felt safe, supported, and truly seen. They quickly became a trusted confidante in my life—someone I could share even my darkest thoughts with without ever feeling judged. Their work in hypnotherapy was especially powerful throughout my journey. During my fertility process, Klarity created hypnotherapy scripts that I listened to repeatedly, helping me calm my nervous system, trust my body, trust the process, and stay grounded during an emotionally intense time. Paired with regular acupuncture, I truly believe this mind–body support played a huge role in what feels like nothing short of a miracle for me. I only had one embryo to work with—and that one embryo stuck and became my baby boy, who is now 15 months old. Later in my pregnancy, when I was navigating both a placenta previa diagnosis and gestational diabetes, their hypnotherapy sessions became an essential source of strength and support. They created personalized scripts tailored specifically to my situation, including ones focused on supporting my body with blood sugar regulation. Toward the end of my pregnancy—when doctors often say blood sugar levels become the hardest to manage—I actually found I had more flexibility with my food choices, better numbers, and never needed to be started on insulin. I truly believe this work helped my body stay more balanced during that time. When I was diagnosed with placenta previa, Klarity’s guidance and hypnotherapy helped me remain hopeful, centered, and deeply connected to my body and baby. I truly feel that the work we did supported my placenta moving out of the way and allowed my pregnancy to continue more safely. As my birth unfolded and ultimately became a cesarean rather than the vaginal birth I had originally hoped for, Klarity’s support remained steady and deeply reassuring. Through hypnotherapy and their presence as my doula, they helped me process the shift in plans with acceptance and strength, allowing me to move through the experience feeling supported rather than defeated. They were a key member of my team of healers and brought a calm, grounded, warm, and smiley presence that held me through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. They also helped guide me through the complexities of a very challenging relationship with my son’s father, always meeting me with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support. Because of them, I never felt embarrassed, alone, or without someone firmly in my corner. No matter your situation—before, during, or after birth—Klarity shows up as a powerful advocate and deeply caring guide. Their expertise in both hypnotherapy and doula care creates a truly transformative experience for mothers navigating one of the most vulnerable and profound seasons of life. Taylor grateful mama

Sarah was an unwavering source of support during one of the most physically and emotionally challenging experiences of my life. After choosing to have an at-home abortion, I found myself in the hospital due to unmanageable pain and later faced complications and prolonged bleeding for over two months. Through it all, Sarah was there—offering not just physical comfort, but deep emotional and mental support. She provided reassurance when I felt scared, advocated for me when I felt unheard, and helped me navigate the overwhelming aftermath with patience and compassion. Her presence was a lifeline, creating a safe space where I could process my emotions without judgment. Whether it was through gentle encouragement, grounding techniques, or simply holding space for my emotions, Sarah made sure I never felt alone in my healing process. I am beyond grateful for her kindness, knowledge, and unwavering care during such a difficult time.

Childbirth has always been very intertwined with my life. I owe some of that to my mother, who planned home births for all of her children. I am the oldest of us four, and my labor was long and hard. I grew up hearing the story of the four day marathon of labor, hospital transfer, and, ultimately, the beautiful birth that brought me into the world. My brother was born when I was almost three, on a hot July day. I have some memories of this day, but nothing very clear. My mom remembers me bringing her a cool glass of water between contractions. Some might say I became a doula that day. When I was 6, my mom became pregnant again. I was absolutely thrilled to be having a baby sister. I remember going to midwife appointments at the midwife’s home in Sebastopol, listening to my sister’s heartbeat, and enjoying every moment of it. Her labor started some time during the night. This time, it was Winter. My mom spent most of her labor in front of the woodburning stove in our living room with my dad applying counter pressure to her back. I remember she had thigh high socks to wear specifically for labor, because she didn’t want to wear pants, but knew her legs would be cold. In the early afternoon, she began pushing on our couch. The midwives were always close by, creating a sense of safety and calm, one of them singing as my sister was born. I stood at the end of the couch, and saw my sister’s head slowly emerge, and then the rest of her body slip out. She immediately went to my mom’s chest and crawled to the breast herself. I was entranced by birth at this moment. In the weeks after, I told my mom I wanted to become a midwife. The last baby was born when I was 10 years old. I was again elated to be around pregnancy and looking forward to the birth. My mom labored all through the night, and when the sun rose, her intuition told her she needed to go to the hospital and get some rest. No one thinks that a fourth baby will take 17 hours to be born, but sometimes they do! After my mom got a few hours of rest, my grandparents took us to the hospital to join her. She felt that birth was a family affair, and believed that children should be a part of birth. I also would have been furious with her if I didn’t get to be there. My sister entered the world, and I got to cut the umbilical cord and be the first to hold her after my mom. I took my first doula training with Connie Sultana in 2024 and since then have attended almost 50 births. I am in constant pursuit of knowledge, each birth teaching me something different. I am now a Cornerstone Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Evidence Based Birth® instructor. I am always striving to be able to provide the best support I can for my clients. I am currently pursuing becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. As of 2026, I have completed nursing prerequisite courses, including biology, chemistry anatomy, physiology, and microbiology and look forward to beginning an RN program in Fall of 2026. I use the knowledge I have gained of the human body through my formal education to help inform the support I provide so that my clients can understand what is happening with their body and their baby. For most people, childbirth is the time in their lives where they will be asked to be the most medically literate, which is intimidating for most working outside of healthcare. The education I have has given me the language and tools to communicate and learn from nurses, midwives, and doctors during births, so that I can understand and interpret information for my clients. After becoming a registered nurse, I plan to attend graduate school to obtain my degree and certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife and practice in a hospital based setting.

Maggie is a remarkable human being and Doula! With my planned C-section, I wasn’t sure how a doula would be able to support my experience. Before my son’s birth she provided a whole binder full of helpful resources and an easy template for creating a birthing plan. At the hospital before my surgery she was a wonderful advocate and made sure all my providers were on the same page. Her calming presence, along with the grounding exercises she lead, helped me go into my birth in the right headspace. In the post-op room she was there to help my baby boy get a good latch right away. Breastfeeding has been such a positive experience and I have Maggie to thank for that! I always looked forward to her visits as she is a true baby whisperer. Maggie was super supportive with tasks like nail trimming, pumping, bottle feeding, bathing, and holding the baby so I could tend to myself. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
