Morgan Gray

Hi there! My name is Morgan and I am a birth and postpartum doula in Sacramento, CA. I am currently working towards my Maternal Support Practitioner certification through Bebo Mia. I’ve always been fascinated by birth, but after experiencing an unplanned cesarean with my first son, then achieving a VBAC with my second son, my fascination transformed into a passion. Everyone’s birth is different and unpredictable. My dream, in the chaos and beauty of birth, is to make sure all birthers feel safe, supported, and nurtured, both during labor and in the postpartum period. Being there to support one of the most transformational and emotional moments of life is truly such an honor. As I’m working towards my certification and need a specific amount of hours/births attended in order to reach that goal, I’m more than happy to work with sliding scale. Currently, I am unable to accept insurance but hope to in the future! When I’m not absorbing everything I can about pregnancy, birth, and beyond, you can usually find me trying to sneak in a few chapters of a romantasy novel, playing monster trucks with my boys, or laughing with loved ones.

Hi, my name is Ashley. I was raised in the small town of Colusa, California. My husband and I welcomed our beautiful daughter in 2024. I am very passionate about everything relating to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I Believe that every mother should have the birth that they desire. Whether that be at a hospital, birth center and in the comfort of your own home, I want to help guide you, and support you in all of your decisions during this transformative time. I would love to connect, and would be honored to walk alongside you and your family during this sacred journey.

Recent review

I recently had the opportunity to work with Ashley Cresap for birth education, and I can't speak highly enough about the experience. From the very beginning, it was clear how deeply knowledgeable and passionate she is about childbirth education. What stood out to me the most was her ability to make complex and sometimes overwhelming topics feel accessible and empowering. She guided me through every stage-Pregnancy, labor, birth, and even postpartum-with clarity, compassion, and professionalism. Thanks to her support, I feel much more confident and prepared for my journey ahead. She created a safe and welcoming space for learning, and I never felt judged for asking questions or expressing concerns. If you're looking for someone who combines expert knowledge with genuine care, I highly recommend Ashley! It's a decision you won't regret!

Hi, I’m Tanya. I offer holistic pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum doula support rooted in the belief that the entrance to motherhood is a sacred and rite of passage. Before becoming a mother, I immersed myself in learning about birth- to avoid unnecessary medicalization and coercion, and to truly understand the magic and wisdom of my own body. I quickly realized how much we’ve been taught to distrust our physiology, and how empowering it felt to relearn what is innate and ancient within us. My first birth, at home, was transformative. It opened my eyes to the power of personalized care and pushed me to dive fully into birthwork, so I could serve other women and families seeking a similar path. My second birth was a powerful freebirth at home, surrounded by my closest friends and family. It took me even deeper- into surrender, into trust, into the raw connection between body, spirit, and baby. Now, as a mother of two, I’m here to offer grounded, compassionate support for your unique path- trusting your rhythms, honoring your choices, and reminding you that you were made for this.

Blessings to you. Thank you for jumping in profile. My name is Valerie Claxton, and I am an IBCLC, a certified childbirth educator, doula certified, and a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery living northern California. I have been on both sides of the labor and delivery journey as a nurse, I see mothers choosing what is best for them and advocating for them, whether going fully natural to using medicinal means to deliver. I know that with teamwork, belief, trust, releasing all fears, and encompassing a peaceful space that birthing your beautiful bundle will come easy. Yes, there are the unknowns but with constant communication and reassurance our relationship will be unbreakable. I enjoy teaching Zumba, serving in our children's ministry, and showing off my green thumb.

I tell everybody I know to get a lactation consultant BEFORE they give birth as I truly believe breastfeeding would be a lot easier if women had more access to more help. I highly recommend Valerie specifically because I did work with another consultant beforehand and while she was lovely, she wasn't quite able to help us the way we needed. Valerie noticed tiny but important details of our lives and provided much needed insight and advice on how to get through the hard times.

I believe every birthing person should have the right to a trauma free birth experience, where their beliefs, values and goals are heard and respected. Birthing bodies are powerful. My goal as a doula is to remind you of the power you hold. I have worked in the medical field for 13 years as a Certified Medical Assistant, Lead Medical Assistant Instructor, recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and gained Certification as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am a very motivated and determined person. As a dedicated mother and proud African American woman, my heart is deeply rooted in the wellbeing of our community. The glaring disparities in maternal health that disproportionately affect women of color are not just statistics to me; they are urgent calls to action that resonate with my own experiences and those of my loved ones. I am committed to leveraging my knowledge, resources, and voice to initiate and support sustainable changes within the healthcare system. My goal is to ensure that equitable, high-quality maternal care is not a privilege, but a standard afforded to all mothers, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Through community outreach, advocacy, and education, I strive to contribute to a world where maternal mortality in underserved communities is not a grim expectation but a rare exception. My mission is to fight for a future where every mother’s life is given the value it unequivocally deserves.

I believe that all birthing people should have bodily autonomy. I support all types of birth—unmedicated or medicated, homebirth, hospital birth, or at a birth center. I’m simply there to support you and the decision you make for your birth experience.

Elizabeth was amazing! Prior to birth, she always responded to my texts quickly and offered so much emotional support. When it came time for labor, Elizabeth was the perfect fit for us. She showed my husband ways of offering counter pressure, and she gave helpful suggestions for coping through contractions. She brought supplies that came in very handy (like a hand held fan when I was very hot) and she was a calming presence throughout our birth. She took priceless photos and videos of our birth that I cherish so much! I would absolutely recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking for a doula!

Marcie was my birth doula and my postpartum doula. She supported me and my husband at the hospital during L&D. Her care for me was so personalized to what I needed. She was very much an asset during a vulnerable time. Since we've been home, she has helped with our toddler, laundry, meals, and emotional support. If a few days go by without us chatting she will reach out to me to make sure I am coping with nursing, and sleep deprivation. Truly a gem to have as a member of your "village."

Maternal Wellness is an organization tailored to maternal-infant support giving you high quality and valuable services. I had a Doula and Lactation Consultant at Maternal Wellness and I had such an amazing birth experience in 2024 the information was clear, I could communicate easily with my doula by text, call and through a online system that they used. It was great! I had a good birth and got great tips and support for my first pregnancy. If you want a doula or need breastfeeding help I think you would love it!
