1. Provider Requirements I am looking for a professional overnight postpartum doula or newborn care specialist. The provider must hold an active doula or newborn care certification from a recognized certifying body (such as DONA, CAPPA, or ProDoula) and have a minimum of two years of professional experience. They must also maintain active CPR/Basic Life Support certification covering infant and pediatric care, carry active professional liability insurance, and be registered with TrustLine (or willing to undergo a comprehensive background check with verifiable references). The provider must be fully up-to-date on all standard vaccinations, including TDAP, MMR, and the seasonal flu vaccine. Preference will be given to providers who are fluent in Mandarin as a second language, and who hold additional credentials in infant feeding support (such as a Certified Lactation Counselor or equivalent experience). 2. Care Recipient Details The care recipient will be our first baby (a newborn). As first-time parents, we are looking for a reliable, nurturing professional to manage typical nighttime care. The baby will require standard newborn care throughout the night, including timed or on-demand feedings, soothing, and diaper changes. 3. Additional Duties The primary focus is overnight infant care and implementing healthy, gentle sleep-shaping habits (focusing on evidence-based soothing rather than rigid sleep training). Additional duties include light, baby-related household tasks directly tied to nighttime operations, specifically washing, sterilizing, and prepping bottles and pump parts so they are entirely ready for the next day. 4. Estimated Budget Our estimated total budget for this postpartum support is $15,000. 5. Insurance and Benefits Provider We do not expect traditional medical insurance to cover this care. Instead, this will be funded and processed via our Carrot Fertility employer-sponsored benefit program. We will require the selected provider or agency to be registered (or willing to register) in the Carrot provider database, and to supply clear, itemized invoices/superbills featuring their formal certification number so we can seamlessly submit them for reimbursement or utilize our Carrot Card."

I plan to give birth at Scripps hospital in Encinitas. I am looking into insurance coverage for doula services but expect to pay some out of pocket obviously. My birth plan centers around flexibility. I am aiming for natural birth and utilizing different birth positions and coping skills. I've had a some trauma with needles and medical care when I lived in Haiti and got typhoid: makes me reluctant to get epidural but open if my headspace is bad. This is my first baby and I am 28 years old. Would prefer someone who is in their 30's or older. Bonus if faith-based. Looking for coaching through labor and helping with positive mindset. Struggled with depression for years so apprehensive about postpartum and curious about options. I have BLUE SHIELD Gold 80 trio HMO

I would appreciate help with newborn care, including feeding, bathing, soothing, sleep support, and guidance during the first weeks after birth. I speak English, Armenian, and Russian, and I would prefer a doula who speaks Armenian or Russian, though English is also fine. Experience with first-time mothers is a big plus. I have Health Net through Medi-Cal, so I am looking for a doula whose services are fully covered by my insurance, with no out-of-pocket costs if possible.

This will be my first birth. I don't like the idea of giving birth in a hospital. I'd like a home water birth. I'm not sure about budget or at what it starts. I want to prep my body so birth is not a horrible experience. I'd prefer someone with many years of experience, at least 5. And speaks English and Spanish. I'm 28 years old and I'd like to have a postpartum plan to include healthy eating habits and exercise.
